Coordination Meeting at Eastern Region

The first quarter co-ordination meeting of the BPC, Eastern Region was conducted at ESD Conference Hall, Trashigang chaired by the Regional Manager  from 1st - 2nd April 2013. The Divisional Heads from various ESD, ETS, TMD, SMD, RECD, PSD and other focal like HRO, Admin, PS, PM and MM personnel’s attended the meeting to discuss and review the first quarter of progressive achievements and also other challenges ahead for the  improvement of the system.

The Chief Manager, ESD, Trashigang welcomed all the participants for having travel from every corner of the eastern region to attend the co-ordination meeting. He thanks on behalf of ESD Trashigang and hope for good coordination meeting in a fruitful manner amongst the participants in the Regional level.

Test charge notifications

The newly constructed 33kV line from Pangu to Mondokha in Dungna Gewog and Ngalashong in Dungna Gewog to Gumena through Metagoenpa, Metayul and Pangu in Metab Gewog under Chukha Dzongkhag shall be test charged w.e.f 13.04.2013 and would remain charged thereafter. Therefore, the general public of these areas are requested to keep themselves and their animal away from the lines and substations to avoid any accidents. BPC shall not be held responsible for noncompliance to the above notification.
The newly constructed 33kV line Substations from Tsagating, Radu and Nangkha villages, Sephu Gewog under Wangdue Dzongkhag shall be test charged w.e.f 15.04.2013 and would remain charged thereafter. Therefore, the general public of these areas are requested to keep themselves and their animal away from the lines and substations to avoid any accidents. BPC shall not be held responsible for noncompliance to the above notification.

Eastern – Western Bhutan Power System Interconnection Established

The priority bays of Tsirang and Jigmeling substation being implemented by KEC were made ready and the officials of BPC and KEC coordinated and charged the 220/66 kV substation in Tsirang, 220/132 kV substation in Jigmeling, 220 kV transmission line from Tsirang to Jigmeling, 132 kV transmission line from Jigmeling to Lodrai and synchronised the Western and Eastern Bhutan power system for establishing Eastern – Western Bhutan Power System Interconnection on March 30, 2013.

Shutdown Notification

This is to inform that there will be power shutdown for 11kV Changangkha Feeder from 33/11 kV RICB Substation below Changangkha Lhakhang on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from morning 9:00 AM till 5:30 PM. The following areas will be affected during the shutdown:

  1. Above Swimming pool area
  2. In and around Changangkha Lhakhang & Norling Building area.
  3. DGPC Office building area.
  4. Changangkha Three tank & Hatidunga area.
  5. Motithang BOD area
