The long awaited rural electrification works around Martshala Gewog under Samdrup Cholling Dungkhag, Samdrup Jongkhar has been finally charged successfully and released the supply to 247 rural households on 15th August 2012. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dasho Dungpa, Samdrup Cholling Dungkhag.
In conjunction with the charging inaugural occasion, the public has been briefed by Regional Manager, RCO-East, regarding Plans & Policy, Rules/Regulations, RoWs and other Statutory Regulations that governs Supply and Services of Power.

ESD, Wangdue conducted safety awareness to the Local Government Head i.e 15 Gewog Gups and Magmis, and as well to the business representatives on dated 09/05/2012 after concluding 3rd Dzongkhag Tshogdu of Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag.
The main objective of the awareness was towards providing Safe & Save Energy.
Before the awareness the members were briefed on the
- BPC’s roles and responsibilities
- 100% electrification of Wangdue Dzongkhag by 2013
