Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) is pleased to invite sealed bids in two parts (Single Stage Two Envelope System – Technical & Financial) from eligible Bhutanese and Indian contractors for the turnkey package for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of one no. 400 kV Double Circuit Transmission line with twin MOOSE ACSR and AACSR Conductor from Pothead Yard of Punatsangchhu II Hydroelectric Plant (PHEP II) in Wangdue to Jigmeling in Sarpang (approximately 65 km) as defined in this bidding document (hereinafter referred to as the Works).
This project is being implemented by BPC on behalf of Punatsangchhu – II Hydroelectric Project Authority (PHPA-II), Bhutan, through funding from the Government of India (GoI).
The tender is open to contractors who fulfill the prequalification criteria set out in the tender documents.
(a) The scope of work in brief includes detail survey of the line route, check survey, preparation of tower schedule and line profile, soil investigation, manufacture & supply of Steel Towers in line with the design provided by the Employer and other line materials, transportation to site, insurance, storage, erection, stringing and testing & commissioning of the 400kV double circuit line as specified above. The scope of work shall also cover associated civil works including clearing of Right of Way, benching, tower foundations, retaining & breast wall, etc.
(b) A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by Bidder(s) or their representatives on submission of a written application to the BPC’s address given below upon payment of non-refundable fee of Nu. 100,000/- (Ngultrum one hundred thousand only), in cash or in the form of a demand draft in favour of the “Chief Financial Officer, Bhutan Power Corporation Limited, Thimphu, Bhutan” payable at Bank of Bhutan, Thimphu on all working days between 0900 hours and 1700 hours. The tender will be available for sale from June 20, 2013 to July 15, 2013.
