Celebrating World Water Day”Leaving no one behind”

The United Nations celebrate World Water Day on 22nd of March every year to tackle the growing water crisis in the world by addressing the reasons why so many people are deprived of clean and safe drinking water. This year, it was themed as “Water for all-Leaving no one behind” and the National Environment Commission Secretariat in collaboration with the Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Bhutan marked the day by organizing a cleaning campaign along the banks of Wangchhu and, an art and essay competition amongst the schools under Thimphu Thromde.
