The newly constructed lines and sub-stations in Tapa I, II & III villages & Gairigoan area under Tading geog, Samtse Dzongkhag will be test charged w.e.f. 23rd Jan.2011 and will remain charged thereafter. Therefore, all the general public of Tapa & Gairigoan area is advised to keep themselves and their animals away from the electrical installation to refrain from any electrical hazards. BPC will not be responsible for any mishaps due to non-compliance to above notification.

This is with reference to the above mentioned tender for the supply and delivery Unitized Substations and Power Transformers. In this regard, BPC would like to inform all bidders that due to poor response by the bidders, the Corporate Tender Committee (CTC) has decided to extend the bid submission and opening as follows:
a. Date and time for bid submission: 2nd February 2012 at 15:00hours.
b. Date and time for bid opening: 2nd February 2012 at 15:30hours.
Further, for those bidders who have submitted the bid shall be kept in the custody of PSD and shall be opened on the date and time indicated above.

1. The Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) invites sealed bids from eligible class A Bhutanese, Indian and International firms and joint ventures from these firms for the construction of 33/11 kV substation at 1) Diesel Power House, Thimphu Dzongkhag and 2) Babesa, Thimphu Dzongkhag.
2. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by bidders or their representative from the address given below on submission of a written application and upon payment of non-refundable fee of Nu.5, 000.00 (Ngultrum five thousand only) in cash or demand draft in favour of Chief Finance Officer, Finance and Account Service, BPC payable at Bank of Bhutan, Thimphu on all working days from 1st January 2012 to 30th January, 2012. BPC shall not be responsible for loss of documents or delay in dispatch through post. Further, the issuance of documents will not construe automatic qualification of bidders.
3. All Bids must be accompanied by Earnest Money/Bid Security of Nu. 2,000,000.00 (Ngultrum two million only) in the form of Bank Draft or Bank Guarantee in the prescribed proforma given in the Bidding documents. All bids must be in Bhutanese Ngultrum or Indian Rupees.
4. Sealed bids complete in all respects should be submitted to General Manager, Distribution & Customer Services Department, BPC up to 1430 hours on 16th February, 2012 and the Bids shall be opened on the same day at 1500 hours in the Conference Hall of BPC in the presence of the bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend.

Engineering, Design & Contracts Department in counterpart with the Development & Construction Department and Transmission Department has successfully completed the walk on survey of following two numbers 400 kV D/C Transmission Lines from Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project power house pothead (Trongsa) to proposed 400 kV Jigmeling Substation (Sarpang) via proposed 400 kV pooling Substation at Goling (Zhemgang).
