Lhadar hoisting ceremony was conducted on 9th Nov. 2015 coinciding with the 60th birth anniversary of our fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuk by Lam Neten in presence of all the sector heads. Inauguration started with marchang ceremeny by our chief manager.

Total of 80 heads from varoius sectors were present during the occasion and were served with suja desi in the morning and good lunch in the afternoon. The ceremony concluded with zhabten at 12:00 noon.

As part of the celebration of the glorious 60th birthday of the 4th Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuk, three numbers of conical flags were erected in Phuentsholing, Gedu and Tsimasham sites on 9th November 2015.

At Phuentsholing, the consecration ceremony was presided over by the Khenpo,

Phuentsholing Shedra. Dasho Drangpon, Dungkhag Court, Phuentsholing was the Chief Guest for the occasion and Divisional Heads and staff of all the Division offices took part in the consecration ceremony.

Conical Flag for Samtse

cs1Dedicating the 60th Birth Anniversary of our 4th Druk Gyalpo, ESD Samtse hoisted the Conical Flag near the Samtse Dodrul Chorten which is located above the Samtse Hindu Temple near Samtse Township.

Every feature of the Conical Flag remains same like in other ESDs except the lighting system. We have fixed LED lights on the top which is powered with Solar Energy and hence it glows at night exhibiting a unique look within the vicinity since the said Conical Flag has been hoisted in a strategic location near Samtse Township.

ESD Punakha hoisted CONICAL FLAG at Chimi Lhakhang

As a part of dedication to 60th Birth Anniversary of our Beloved 4th Druk Gyalpo, ESD Punakha hoisted CONICAL FLAG (1200 metres of Lungdhar) at Chimi Lhakhang ridge facing towards confluence of Punatshangchu and Toeb-rongchu. As per the Chimi Lhakhang Lam, the ridge is considered to be sanctified site as there is Zangchen “Big Bronze pot” under this ridge and hosting prayer flags on this ridge will attain maximum benefits to all the sentient beings.
