The Contract for “Rehabilitation and Automation of Thimphu Mini Hydro Power Plant, Thimphu” was signed between Bhutan Power Corporation Ltd. and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) on December 08, 2016 at contract value of USD 400,000 (USD Four Hundred Thousand only). The duration of the Contract is 8 (Eight) months.

India on November 29, 2016 at a contract value of Nu 11,415,200.00 (Ngultrum Eleven Million Four hundred fifteen Thousand and Two hundred only). The duration of the Contract is 6 months.

Nu. 366.28 million Contract signed for Design, Supply, construction, testing and commissioning of 2 x 10 MVA, 220/33 kV Substation at Dagapela, Dagana, Bhutan

Bhutan Power Corporation Ltd. (BPC) is implementing construction of a 2 x 10 MVA, 220/33 kV substation at Dagapela in Dagana Dzongkhag. The contract was signed with Shyama Power India Limited on December 10, 2015 for Design, Supply, construction, testing and commissioning of 2 x 10 MVA, 220/33 kV Substation. The total value of the contract is Nu. 366.28 million. The contract period is 24 months and all out efforts shall be made to complete the substation within the contractual period.

Contract Signing with VEEET under ESD, Phuentsholing

Pursuant to Executive Order No.2/BPC/DCSD/MD/2015/275 October 19, 2015 of the Managing Director, BPC and Office Order No.60/BPC/DCSD/VEEET/2015/928 November 20, 2015, contracts were signed with the Village Electrical Enterpreneur and Electrical Technicians (VEEET) today. The concept behind deployment of the VEEET is to enhance the electricity service delivery to both on and off grid rural areas where establishment of BPC service centres are not feasible. There are currently seven numbers of VEEET personnels under ESD, Phuentsholing.
