Safety awareness campaign was conducted by the team from RCO, Phuentsholing, TMD, Samtse and ESSD, Dorokha on 7th October 2016 at Tading and Panbari under Samtse Dzongkhag. Since, the High voltage line is passing through Tading and Panbari village, the safety awareness is direly needed to conduct in that locality.

Safety Awareness campaign

An electrical safety awareness campaign was conducted coinciding with the charging of lines and substations and release of service connections to Thasa ‘A’, Thasa ‘B’ and Tachey villages, under Lhajab Gewog, Dagana Dzongkhag. Around 35 participants including the Gewog Tshokpa, Chupen were present.

Electricity Safety Campaign Report

The Electricity Services Division, Thimphu has conducted Electrical safety awareness campaign to the public, teachers and students of Yangchengatshel Middle Secondary School, Chamgang on 21st October 2014. The awareness campaign has been conducted by Sangay, Engineer and a team from ESD, Thimphu in presence of Gup, DagalaGewog, and Vice Principal of School. There were more than 500 participants which includes general public, students and the faculty members of the school.

Safety Awareness Program

The Regional Corporate Office (RCO) Samdrup Jongkhar has organized an awareness program on ‘Electrical Safety measures’ to the 46 Bhutan Post, Management Information system (MIS) and Government to Citizen (G2C) trainees at Bhutan Post Office, Samdrup Jongkhar. The main objective of conducting such a program is to educate the employees of Bhutan post on electrical safety measures and the necessary precautions on electrical equipments. Since most of the employees were the representatives of their respective community centres (CC), it was felt necessary to create awareness on electrical safety measures to the people thriving in the remote pockets of Bhutan through them.
At the awareness program, the Regional Manager of BPC Eastern Bhutan, the General Manager of Bhutan post, the Manager of SMD Dewathang, the Safety Officer and other members from BPC were also present and briefed about the safety awareness program to the participants.
