Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) was formed as an offshoot of the erstwhile Department of Power, the then Ministry of Trade and Industry and was launched as Public Utility Company on 1st July 2002 with an objective that the corporatization of the utility functions would lead to greater efficiency and better delivery of electricity supply services in the power sector.
Later, the Ownership was transferred to Druk Holding and Investment Limited (DHI), the commercial arm of the Royal Government of Bhutan, established in 2007 upon issuance of Royal Charter in 2007 “to hold and manage the existing and future investments of the Royal Government for the long term benefit of the people of Bhutan”
Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC), Thimphu invites single stage single envelope sealed bids from registered electrical large Bhutanese (W4) & International firms and joint ventures for the “Design, engineering, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing & commissioning of 33kV indoor GIS pooling substation at Jamjee, Thimphu” as defined in the bidding document.
The prospective bidders must sign and submit the Integrity Pact and Bid submission form provided in the Bidding Document and a scanned copy of the Bid Security as stipulated in the Bid Document in Ariba e-procurement. The original copy of the Bid Security shall be submitted to any BPC offices before the Bid opening.
Bids complete in all respects, along with the duly signed Integrity Pact and Bid form, may be submitted through Ariba e-procurement on or before 1400 hours on December 11, 2025, and the Bids shall be opened on the same day at 1430 hours.
BPC reserves the right to reject or accept the Bids or annul the bidding process without assigning any reason.
