Chief Manager
To ensure accurate and timely reading of the household energy meters, Bhutan Power Corporation inaugurated meter reading monitoring system on 12th April 2021 at Taba in Thimphu.
Geo-tagged Quick Response (QR) codes will be placed at every meter location. The meter reader shall scan the QR code using google lens while reading the meter(s) in that location. The location and time details will be stamped and saved in google cloud for every scan performed by the reader. Supervisors and managers can view the data to ensure that meters are read within prescribed time frames and recurrent readings are avoided. Meter reading monitoring system is currently being deployed for Thimphu.
