e-Procurement System Launch

BPC has launched e-Procurement system on 30th December 2022. The project was developed in collaboration with Zealous System Pvt. Ltd.

The e-Procurement system implemented is the SAP Ariba system. Ariba sourcing & contract life cycle management are comprehensive e-sourcing and contract management application designed for sourcing professionals & contract life cycle management with digital signature.  It is a web-based tool that allows to create and manage online bid events & monitor the contract for internal and external vendors. It allows stakeholders and suppliers to communicate online and expedite the sourcing process. Sourcing projects provide a single place to view all project-related information and allows the standardization of similar projects.

BPC will be routing any type of procurement & contract management through the e-Procurement system after completing the full system rollout.

The launch of this system marks a great achievement for the company, and we hope for another successful year ahead.

Award of Civil Service Medal

The Medal Award Ceremony was held on December 13 2022. During the ceremony, the CEO read the Royal Command circulated by RCSC and said that the medal is an acknowledgement of each individual’s dedication and hard work for serving the Tsa-Wa-Sum. He further added that with receipts of such prestigious award, one must take pride and responsibilities with dedication in the years ahead. He congratulated all the recipients on behalf of BPC Family. A total of 87 medals were received this year of which 46 were Bronze, 26 Silver, 7 Gold and 8 received Lifetime Achievement Medal.

Mr. Sonam Tshering is a new General Manager in Engineering & Research Division. He received his Masters in Structural Engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia and Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Kerala University, India. He has experience in construction, design/design reviews, and contracts management. Before joining to current post, he was on deputation to Kholongchhu Hydro Power Project.

Mrs. Trishna Gurung is the new General Manager of the Finance and Accounts Division. She has a Master of Business Administration from Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand and a bachelor of commerce from Sherubtse College, Kanglung. She started her career with BPC in 2004 and has served in various capacities in Finance and Accounts Services and has also served as FICO Functional Lead for the implementation of SAP ERP system in BPC. Before joining the current position, she served as  Sr. Manager, Corporate Budget and Treasury Division, BPC.

WePOWER workshop conducted in BPC

“As part of WePOWER initiative, a half-day workshop on Project Report writing and communication was imparted to the young female professionals of BPC on October 25, 2022. The workshop was imparted by the Director, HRCS and the Manager, Environment & GIS Survey Division. 

The opening remark of the workshop was made by Ms. Dechen Dema, Director, Strategy and Technology Services, BPC.

The workshop aimed to equip participants with critical information and ideas while executing future projects in BPC. The topic like communications was also covered during the workshop.

Seventeen women employees from various Departments with backgrounds in Engineering, IT, Environment and other fields attended the half-day workshop.”

Electricity Services Sub-Division(ESSD), BPC, Yadhi would like to inform the general public of Sharimung Gewogs under Mongar Dzongkhag that, there will be power supply interruption for the re-stringing of ACSR Conductor and rectification of tilted 33kV double pole structures at Tshaburi village under Sharimung Gewog.
